i think somebody has made a mistake somewhere, but it seems like one to avoid.. and yeah a B can only be broken for parts

Cat B is break only and it is illegal to sell a Cat B for road use. A Cat C can be put back on the road but will require a VOSA inspection

If the car is a Cat B and you buy it both you and the seller will be breaking the law and IF you get insurance without declaring your insurance will be void and if you try to sell it you could be fined

If it is Cat B and is being sold you should report it

my freind is a car dealer and he states hes sold 3 cat b recently, all being vic checked and passed and log book arrived ect.i to thought b was break only but now i have my doubs and a quick call to vosa tomorrow morning will hopefully clear this up,if im buying this car i will have to sell mine after it to recoup the money,so then i wont have a vectra but ill have a mini cooper s 2007 plate which ive always wanted to try out

I don't believe you can road a Cat b - I've had a few Cs and Ds, some pretty bargains too!

It may well be possible to get a cat-b back on the road but how in heavens will you get shot of it when you get sick of it Not many folks I know willingly jump into a car like that despite how well it may have been re-constructed. Sorry Alec just my 2p worth mate

i believe only the registered owner at the time can put a cat b back on the road. it cant be sold on to somebody else to sort out. once back on the road it can be sold legit to another person
