Default Bodyshops on the Wirral - North West

Guys I have a rear skirt to fit onto the car, it's about 1cm too long on one end. I was originally going to get it painted and fit myself but I can't do that with it being slightly too large. Can anyone recommend somewhere to go to get it done? I've been quoted £150 to fit it as it is now including paint. On the Wirral would be good.

    Right.

Been out and fiddled around with it - it SHOULD fit ok. Just needs sanding and painting. Considering the size of it, can I get away with doing it myself with properly mixed rattle cans? Attached some pictures. When pushed in properly it's a good fit.

Cheers dude, I have some friends in Wallasey so it's an excuse to pop in. It's a pretty close fit so it might be a case of attack it with Tigerseal to hold it on. I can live with that. Is yours an Ebay job too? Someone else bought one of these from the same shop as me - I meant to try and track them down, see how well they fitted. This was 50 quid. Also, where did you get your cans of paint from? Thinking Halfords and getting them to mix it.

mine was a lookers one 156 quid, but its not far off the one youve got ,the only difference is it has 2 screw holes to screw it into the arches and a couple of holes underneith for rivets and double sided tape, i got my spray from motor world its star silver 3 code x157 i think it was for mine, the guy looked it up in the book an gave me the matching colour and it is perfect match. plus was 6 pound for a big cans and it is 13 pound for a can half the size if you get halfords to mix it, then on the last couple of coats i bought a small can from vauxhalls for 12 quid to make sure it matched lol. to be honest mate after all the spray an laquer an sand paper cuting compound an so on it will prob cost same price to just get it done proffesionally. wen i get the front splitter thats wat i'm gonna do cos it was just too time comsuming an stressful (i stress easy ) but you will prob end up like me and worrying if you will get it to shine and reflect like the rest of the car lol

why not try painting it yourself take your time and see how it goes. If it goes bad take it somewhere. Nothing to lose really have you

I probably will do. Not done anything like this before. Trying to find some Silkaflex or Tigerseal to bond it on with. Ideally like to do this at the weekend so naturally trying to get somewhere to deliver next day is rather hard! Paint I'll sort out easily enough. Trip to Halfords and Vauxhall.

MADD Motors, Old Gorsey Lane, just off the dock road, Dave Murdoch, a good lad and a quality sprayer, I have used him a few times and not been dissappointed.
