    Default Drivers Electric Window Switch

As per title, are these hard to remove? (without the usual gouges out of the surrounding doorcard!)

the drivers window switch seems to be on the blink, as it only works if you leave it depressed for maybe anything up to a second or so.
It looks like these are only available as a whole unit, so i'll pop the old one out and replace if necessary. all the other window switches seem to be working ok

    anyone any pointers?

Pop it out (just stick a blade carefully down the side) and then take it apart and clean the contacts. 30 second job, there's a howto on the forum somewhere if you get stuck. You shouldn't need to replace it.

done! followed the how2 and working perfect now!

used acetone to clean the contacts. they looked surprisingly clean although once stripped out of the housing. funny how a tiny film of grime becomes a real pain in the rear!

many thanks for the pointers guys

I had same problem on my vectra C 1st gen now same on my 06 is happening so gonna clean contacts
you will need to remove switch and clean the copper contacts on the switch board as they tarnish due to I assume condensation once that's done they should work grand but be careful not damage
    HOPE THIS HELPS
