confused My handbrake is seized and won't release!?!?! HELP :(

    Hi guys,

As alot of you will know I bought my vectra on Friday just gone and prior to me buying it, it was laid up for about 4 months not being used. Some banana head left the handbrake up and on and now it won't release....

anyone know what I can do here as its obviously burning more diesel and I can feel the resistance...because it is quite a good handbrake the performance has also been somewhat affected.

    thank you all

I had dragging rear brakes and found it was a build up of corrosion between the calliper and the rubbers that the slides slide on. The corrosion had forced the rubbers in on themselves stopping the slides from moving properly. A good clean out with a piece of rolled up sand paper soon sorted it out. Heres the pic of the problem area and you can see the corrosion build up.
