    Default catalytic convertor removal help

    Help needed please, can anyone tell me the exact length of the cat before the centre section of the exhaust............want to remove mine and need to know the length of pipe I would need to replace................help as always appreciated,

    Just bash out the insides mate and refit bonus is it will cost nothing and look standard too mate

    I used an 8" section of stainless steel for the replacement of the cat on my 03 2.2 dti.. this section had flared ends (to 57mm) so that the 2 pieces of exhaust slotted in nicely and I then MIG welded the pieces together. You could probably u-clamp the pieces together if you get the section flared and cut, but it wont be as strong as a welded section.
