On the point of rears wearing before the fronts.
Had the car serviced a couple of months back at Arnold Clarks.
" You're rear pads will require replacing soon sir"
Is it not common for the fronts to go first I reply.
    "Usually" he says.
Just leave it I'll do it myself. Car had only done 21,000

Oddly enough, on all our family vec's and signums..( 5 and rising ).. the rears wear out first..

1st time i heard the tyre fitter say it i thought he was pulling my chain, but he was right..2mm on the back, 6mm on the front..C's old 2.2 elegance

    Hi all,

Does anyone knows why when i brake the front pads are vibrating slightly make it doing that horrible sound like the brakes were going to break? i obviously went to 2 different vauxhall garage and a garage for brakes but they all said it was normal. it actually happened after i fitted new one which costed me £180 in a first vauxhall garage.
Can i get some good brakes as my driving is ruff and which one would be good?

if only someone can tell me that'll be weaked as don't know what to do anymore.

    cheers

if they're just vibrating and 'ringing' then they need the backing plates of the pads smearing with copper grease..

A mate pointed out tonight that it sounded like my brakes were grinding against metal, only when it was pointed out I realised I'd been hearing it for a while without thought. Had a quick look but I don't know what the hell I'm looking for lol cars done 27.5k, could that be right?
