I have a 55 plate 2.2 Direct SRi with the factory fitted brakes. Personally, I feel that trhey can be improved and was wondering what I can do to improve /the stopping distance / confidence without breaking the bank. Any thoughts ?

Green stuff or Red stuff pads is what i'm looking at for my next set.
This thread might help. http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14140
Hi Dave I've just picked up EBC Greenstuff for the front and rears.
One word Excellent!
I've enjoyed these on my Astra before Veccy came along,Not only will they stop on an Avalanche but there is little or no brake dust to contend with so expect your wheels to be a sinch to clean in the future too!
go to lmf and get the gsi brakes
Go for the GSi 314mm upgrade from LMF. I had them on my SRi150 CDTi and the difference was amazing. For less than £300 you really have to fit them.
Wow - Thanks guys, I really have a lot to think about now. Green Red pads , who is the manufacturer of these? Or are thry irmscher parts?
As for the GSi brakes upgrade, I think that me be a bit beyond my meger budget at the moment ! But definately worth thinking about !

Cheers Rushy & Caterman. The link was really usefull, and the prices didn't seem that bad to me, but a bit more searching with the part number wouldn't hurt either. I'll let you know how I get on !!
Cheers for the help guys !
Part number no worries, just go and get the boxes in the garage.
