    Default Interior lights problem

I've searched this site looking for the same problem that i have but no one seems to have suffered the exact fault, namely the interior lights on my 2008 estate don't work. The 2 in boot area work, but the 2 above the rear passengers and the the front courtesy and reading lights don't work. The switches illuminate, and the door open alarm on the dash works. One strange outcome was I'd left one of the front switches switched on whilst looking for the fault and the battery was flat the next day although no light was on. It is a month out of warranty so the dealers will be a last resort. Any suggestions?

did you buy it like that? Ive got a Veccy C ex police and the nice people cut the ribbon loom in the headlining so lights didnt come on when they want to get out of the car in dark at night. also they disconnected the glove box light, pulled the wires off the terminals and let them drop down, could have caused a fire!!!

Also, have you fitted LED bulbs? Mine stopped working when I did. I can have them in the rear light and the map lights but if I fit them to all it stops working.... Basically I need to leave two as normal bulbs to keep it working.....

Oh and I am not sure if they is one for it but check fuses??

The lights did work when I got the car, and I haven't fitted LEDs to it. The only thing I've had fitted was a towbar, but I'm sure the lights worked after that. I'm not sure which fuse to check as its not listed in the manual.
