    Default GSi short shift advice

    Hi guys whats the most effective way to get a better gearchange on a 2002 Vec C 3.2 GSi?

    I dont fancy spending big money on a B&M kit, so whats the best way to go? Thanks

    The thought has crossed my mind.

    I had thought of simply shortening the lever (gear knob to pivot joint) however it is so complex with reverse gear lockout and the pivot assembly itself, that it would not be possible to make the mod to a stock lever and, unless I can locate someone who can machine a new lever with an adjusted socket position I cannot see any way to modify the throw between gears.

    I am though aware of the Vectra-B (as used on the Saab 9-5) shift so perhaps in time with demand it might happen.
