They'll stop the error warning but there's no mention of them stopping the flashing.
Hard wiring additional 501 holders from the dash illumination circuit is simple, cheap (or free from a friendly scrapy) and easy to put back to standard. You also get lights on with key press.

I used the cig lighter illumination wire, yellow/grey, run the wire through the gromet next to the pollen filter to the headlights for the new 501 holders. The original bulbs and holders are wrapped in foil and tucked away behind the headlight units -this stops the bulb warning and they can be replaced if they blow. Leemarksmith has done a how2 including switches but as he memtìons you can wire them diectly, bypassing the switch.

so ur saying in leaving the old holders in the wiring with normal 501's in then add a NEW holder with the LED 501 thus preventing the car from finding a error

thats right mate. I've only had to replace one of the original bulbs once since doing this mod sometime last year, and they were over a year old then, so foil wraping them doésn't sèem to have an effect on lifespan.
