Oil Level Warning Light After Oil Change?

Hi There Chaps.

First post but long time browser!

I did an oil change on my 2.0 dti Vectra-C a couple of weeks ago. Topped oil back up to correct max mark on dipstick, but intermttently the oil level warning light comes on. If I switch off and back on again the light goes out for any time up to around 30 minutes but will come back on again. It never happened before I did the oil change, and I'm pretty sure I drained a lot more oil out than I put back in, but I am 100% sure that the oil level is fine going by the dispstick. When I check I make sure the car has not been running for at least 5 minutes and the car is level etc. etc.

Has anyone else had the same problem or have any ideas what might be wrong. I know its nothing catastrophic as I've done about 800 miles since the change and as long as the oil pressure warning light does not iluminate, no damage is happening to the engine.

Any help really appreciated.
