    hi does anyone knows whats wrong when my exhaust emission light is on permanent .thanx

    you have a problem with your emissions , you need to know what code its giving to find the cause , what engine do you have

    It means your emissions are out of the normal permissible level. Whats causing it is another matter.

    What engine/year is it? Have you had the fault codes read?

    Engine : 1.8 iVtec

    Year : 2009

    Mileage : 85000

    2002 1.8 16v according to Op's profile.

    Read the fault code using the pedal test found in the how2 below and report back the code. Normally on the 1.8 its either the Air flow meter(just after the filter box), one of the 2 Lambda sensors or possibly, as yours is a 2002 the EGR valve.
