I bought some on Friday... never used a cutting compound before.. so a little nervous.. but wanted to get rid of the swirls on the car before polishing.

I used a 100% cotton cloth and just followed the instructions on the bottle. Worked far far better than i expected. I just took my time and it worked exactly as it should.

Does this stuff remove the top layer of laquer, or just fill the swirls?

I've read the reviews and I'm very tempted.

It is abrasive, however, you could use it every day for a year and still have plenty of lacquer on your car. It is very very good. Try it you will not be disappointed!
