The intercooler is the same one thats on the Vec VXR, is there any real reason to upgrade??
i dint no that im glad in a way, im just working my way through my todo list :-) i will cross that out lol
i have upgraded the intercooler on a dti, it cant be that much different. i think there was a sort of how to from chrisgettings when he done his
Alright mate I did the upgraded intercooler I just bought one aftermarket one and worked out about 250 quid
The standard intercooler is sandwiched, replacing it with a front mounted intercooler will see gains if you are tuning but not in an otherwise standard car.
That's not actually the intercooler, the one you can see through the front is the air-con condenser. Behind that is the intercooler, then the radiator. That's what Nutron means when he says it's sandwiched in.
Evidence on here suggests that unless you are doing serious tuning, then any gains from changing the intercooler, or even front-mounting it will be minimal.
