    good question........nothin in it i would guess - 6.8/146mph and 7.0/ 155mph

    the vtec is like any other 2ltr at low revs but once you hit 5500revs and over it comes to life screamin its head off it would trash mine hands down in the handling deparment but as for power? we aint had a go at each other yet but i have driven both of them and it would be hard to pic a winner

    good pics mate and IMO the vec is the better looking motor! but i am biased though!

    The vec will feel better to drive normally as the torque is available lower down, but as you say when the revs build up the type R will fly.

    My sister had a vtec & tbh it felt a bit gutless low down, but my god it moved when you hammered it, the revs seem to go on forever!

    A close match I think.
