Petrol has dropped by me. Down to 129.9p / litre. Think diesel is £136.9.

    At my local garage

    Tuesday 138.9 per litre
Wednesday (pre budget) 138.9 per litre
Wednesday (after 6pm) 137.9 per litre Garage closed at 8pm
    Thursday 138.9 per litre
    Today 140.9 per litre

    A 1p price drop for a whole 2 hours, then a 2p rise 2 days later

Asked owner about it and he said he buys his fuel on a day to day basis and the wholesale price of fuel is increasing daily.

Im my opionion the whole 1p drop was just another con for the british public. Did Mr Osborne think he was doing us a favour....backfired big style by the looks of it.

Yes, we are suffering the same issue
Our fuel is supplied by BP with their branding so we have to follow their price structure
However we receive a payment for the difference, should we make an operating loss, known as price support
This resulted in a 2p drop in the retail price, but as the cost of oil increases this has seen the price go back up to 1p above where it was this time last week, otherwise next week the price would be about 7p above where it was last week

Sadly with the worldwide uncertainty (that seems to be a continuing issue for the last few years) this will only get worse, and within a few weeks could see the £1.50 litre
Unless the Chancellor / Treasury put the fuel price offset into place in that timescale, then it could result in serious issues to the economy

Several of our employees have turned round and advised they can no longer afford to get to/from work, as a result we have terminated their employment (which then allows them to claim allowances)
Sad, but that's the way it is going

I too have reduced the amount of travelling I do, now down to three days a week

I remember back in 2000 when fuel depots got blockaded in protests to increasing fuel costs.. Petrol was just under 80p a litre back then.. Is there any talk of similar sort of protests again.. Or is there just a resignation to the fact that nothing can be done to stop the price escalating..

Makes me angry when I see figures detailing how much tax makes up the price of a litre of fuel..
