Incomplete springs will result in failure of any MOT, so you'll only end up having to buy some new springs anyway when MOT time comes around.. may as well save some time and effort and just buy some springs in the first place!

I hope there is no one in the UK with the same idea. It is the most stupid idea I have ever read. I think you should draw a line right now for others' sake, if not your own.

Sadly people in the UK (and throughout the world) do this
Like any other bodge, a cheap solution, without understanding how it can compromise the safety of the car and others

First, thanks for ur nice words.
Second, i dont make any change in my life not only my car before knowing benifits and risks of it, i m not stupid....
Third, if springs are available with good price i would never think to cut mine.
Fourth, if i cut springs i would save alot of time..
Finally i said i will do it after ordering new lower springs, just to try..

    Thanks mate..

I think your missing the point fella. Price doesnt come into it. Safety does. Listen to the advice given here, it is dangerous just to cut springs, no matter how much money you have/havent got. If you havent got the money, leave it on stilts.

So if you cut springs you'll save on time? How? You gotta get them out to cut them, if they are out, REPLACE them with shorter springs. Easy.

Why on earth would you even try after you got lowered springs? So your driving along and hit a pothole, your spring unseats, suspension collapses (depending on how hard ripping your tyre), pulls you off the road and you wipe up some poor sod and his missus out for a walk. Crack on mate, just to see what happens.... jeez

Sorry dude, just can't begin to understand your way of thinking.
