Default I've done it!! first oil change...

Well after a troublesome day yesterday trying to do an oil change, but having a seized sump nut, I took a walk to Halfords this morning (after checking my car which I had to park in a bad part of town opposite KwikFit incase it wouldn't startup today after adding engine flush but not being able to empty it.)

I bought a 1/2" T45 torx and an extension for my wheel wrench (now 3foot) I decided to have one last go before giving in and taking to KwikFit, and low and behold, after hammering in the torx bit and connecting wheel wrench at full extension, it took a bit of gentle pursuasion with my foot, but it came loose

It's outside now draining off (lovely rainbow shaps on drive now..)
Then in goes the Magnatec Edge 0w-40

What a nightmare trying to do this. Looked up and last service was at a peugeot garage (probably jealous so did it tight)...

    Well it's almost done now.
I want to thank all you guys for all your help. I know it's a simple proceedure, but I've been pulling my hair out worrying about the engine.
I'm glad it's sorted now, and can't wait for the next one
It'll be ok now it's been sorted.

    Thanks everyone!!

Yeh sorry about all the threads.
When I carried on the same thread not many people replied, and it was quite urgent, thought i'd ****ed up the engine. So started new thread on each thing that came up.
    Very sorry

What engine have you got m8? Just wondering where the oil filter is on the 2.2 Direct and where the PAS fluid top up is, if any?

Well done mate, glad you got it sorted in the end I can understand all the threads ... looked like you were in panic mode when you couldn't get the sump plug out and not knowing what the flush would do to your engine if left in.

One things for sure ... your oil sump should be the cleanest in the North now!

lol - don't worry, I was only teasing m8. I can understand why you wanted a quick answer to your questions. When you've started a job like an oil flush/change and hiccups crop up, you want to get it sorted ASAP!

Glad it's all sorted now. Hope my How 2 helped a bit as well.
