    Default ready for turning the veccy upside down and using as a skip!

    yesturday remved v grill to colour code ended up 3 hour on removing front bumper after snapping lower chrome strip

    takes me 2 hours to strip the chrome from v grill

    then primered the grill

    woke up today to start painting it and thought the motro blue paint tin looked quite small

    well 2 think layres later it was empty "grrrrr"

    cost me £10 with laqure for gm stuff from vauxhall but taken a week to come so couldnt wait another week

    driving 35 mile round 4 halfords and they all say on the info sheets they stock metro blue sprey can not 1 had any them im tol dits a typo error they only stock touch up paint

    they could done me a tint tin for 13.99 which i though n way after i just used one tin in minuites,,,


    anyway i rang vauxhall see ifv local guys had it in stock which they said sorry will call back waithed a hour then had enough went to local quick fit and bouth gloss black

    wish i had just took grill to spreyers would prob being cheepered and a betetr finnish

    now got to wait half hour inbetween layres of sprey i use



    also quick question, i have mannaged to glue the chrome strip back together so trying do that gloss black aswell if it dont snap again

    should i do boot strip or not ?

    lol....just joking mate but it can be a pain to remove without kinking

    Oww!! Sorry to hear of the strife mate the small tin and ever increasing size of the chrome strip is always a PITA!

    I wish you well and look forward to seeing it all done though!

    As for the boot strip, I would say yes only if you tint the reverse lights in as well.

    I'd get the grille finished and leave the boot strip for another day, if you get angry with it, it'll kink quite easily.

    Simon,

    did none of the Halfords offer to mix a tin up for you ?

    if you give them the paint code they should be able to produce a can in about 3 minutes
