Default Who's replaced their handbrake cable?

Just wondering how big a job it is... Had the rear wheels off today and the springs on the cable are rusted to ******y, plus the handbrake lever travel is a little excessive (think it's reached the limit of the auto-adjustment).

Found the parts on ebay for £20... Reckon it's worth a shot?

And the heat sheild, which will probably have all the bolts seized and snap as they're removed.

what you should have done after fitting the new discs and pads was pump the brake pedal a few times to take up the slack in the pistons and then try the handbrake as it then auto adjusts properly

You need to reset the hand brake auto adjuster after changing the cable but the whol job is fairly simple, just a pain without ramps.

don't waste your time and effort, as said above take it back to the dealer who you've already paid to do the work.
