egr making a buzzing noise

hi all signum 2.2dti with spanner light and idle problem when up to temp(90), cleaned everything still got prob have noticed my egr buzzing is this normal has anybody else heard there's do this any advice?

Sounds as though the solenoid is jamming and trying to engage / disengage hence the buzzing.

Thanks for getting back,I think it's a new noise and appeared after cleaning it do you think i've knackered it?

Hmmm,,,,,,,,, cleaned it, did you interfere with the solenoid? and did you grease it all up again?

didn,t play with the solenoid just cleaned off all the soot/carbon build up with carb cleaner didn't think about greasing it up, i take it grease won't affect any other sensors

The grease would only be on the shaft of the solenoid but if it was an external type clean I am wondering if it has still jammed?

gonna take it off again 2mrow clean again and grease will also check under grey cover see if i can see anything untoward...cheers
