No, you don't need XL tyres. the 225/45/18 95 are xl tyres as is denoted by the 95 load rating. The 91 rated ones are fine for your 1.9 150.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Get the nt5000 from neo brothers, and then get them fitted at your local fitter

THATS HARDER SAID THAN DONE IN STOKE ON TRENT, a lot of tyre dealers will not fit other peoples tyres, others want 25 quid a tyre to fit.

    Agree 100%

As for load rating the XL tyre has a reinforced sidewall which with our billiard table smooth roads is quite un-neccessary NOT!!!!!!!!
XL tyres do tend to wear better too in my experience.

As for fitting specialists go to mytyres.co.uk and check out the local fitters page it gives prices too which is an easy way to find a local garage.

The Neutons are a stunning tyre in every way for the money one of the best around

There's a bit more too it than that
They are primarily for heavy cars, which seem to be on the rise these days
The entire tyre carcass is reinforced, using different materials from a standard version of the tyre
They won't last any longer or shorter than a standard version of the tyre, as the tread material is the same

    + XL/reinforced tyres give a harder ride.

That's only because of the higher tyre pressures that are required
I've compared standard and XL on vehicles that don't need them and there is no difference when the lower tyre pressures are used (but that lower tyre pressure would be incorrect for that XL tyre)

The vehicle used was a Vectra C 1.8 on 215/55R16
