Angry I am very disappointed in Vauxhalls.

I am very disappointed in Vauxhalls.

    Can anyone restore my faith.

    Faults:

    Engine Management Light
    Rear Shocks
    Vacuum Pipes
    Drop Links
    Fan Belt
    Wheels Droning
    Front Bearings
    Tyre Noise
    Turbo Failing

Why do we do it? Why can't this sort of stuff work?

These are common problems......Why did I buy one?

I have never had so many issues with a car in 6 months.

I think I have to sell it!

These need a little more explaining,
    Age of car mileage etc,,,

As an example my wife just got rid of a MkIV golf that makes that list seem insignificant so it's not unique to Vx mate

Rear Shocks - Wear and tear
Drop Links - wear and tear
Fan Belt - serviceable item/wear and tear
Wheels Droning - could be tyres
Front Bearings - wear and tear
Tyre Noise - cheap tyres/road surface

I've eliminated a few but the ones above are/could be normal for any car! The ones that are missing could be explained if your cars been to the moon and back.

If your car was brand new or with 10k on the clock i'd understand your point, but a lot of it could be attributed to poor upkeep by past owners too.

I agree with what has been said. The ones highlighted you could get with any car. Also if you or the previous owner bumps it up kerbs a lot it can affect a lot of those.

    What is the history....

not safe with any car,.. it's luck. My friends had a 56 plate 3 series, cost a fortune every month with faults. They have a 1.9 CDTi vec proved fault free for 4 years, mine is reliable also, however my 2.2i direct vec was expensive. Fathers Celica, fault free, brother old Mondeo, laced with expensive faults, his Audi A6 laced with expensive faults.

    Not just Vauxhalls fella

Any brand, any car pretty much its pot luck. Get a bad one and its doomed. Look at that guy in Japan who smashed his Lambourghini up on camera because of the faults on it... lol

Can happen to anyone, any car.

I never expected it but I am more attached to my Vectra than almost any car I have owned not because it is better more flashy worth more etc, but because it is a good honest car that is with care safe to drive will never get valet parked at the Hilton but hey!I don't need that.

But if I had to choose a car to take with me on a long trip this would be right at the top of the pecking order
