Default Getting annoyed with Vauxhall dealers...

I posted a while back about the hassle of getting my new ARB bushes. For those who don't know, there are 2 sizes available and VX don't have a record of which are fitted to which car. I had to order both sizes and return the wrong ones at a cost of 25% to me (thankfully they are only £3 each).

When I did my suspension a few weeks back I found my spring seat sleeves were worn so need replacing.

Phoned up County Motor Works today (local dealer to me in Chelmsford, Essex), spent 5 minutes trying to explain to the guy at the parts counter what I actually wanted (he didn't seem to have a clue what they were), only to be told there are 3 sizes available and, surprise surprise, VX don't know which ones I need.

Was told to bring the part in, which of course means dismantling the front of the car. Thing is, they don't even stock them so my car would be off the road for a week unless I had the energy to put the whole lot back together, only to have to take it to bits again when the parts arrive!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's a little miffed by all this!

Cheers mate. I had the car on the jack yesterday to service the calipers and tried to get a part number from the sleeves but couldn't.

All I know is they are black. Apparently they come in different colours. Are the 11mm ones the black ones?

Its a shame buddy cos I have a spare set as I bought 2 different sizes when i changed to eibachs, but my spares are in storage with my old springs in North Weald. TBH as they are not expensive i'd buy a set of each and take back the ones you dont use.

Glue an old bike inner tube to the spring. Works like a charm and is probably what would happen if you took it to a garage...
