How do I know? Because mine went, I popped to vauxhall and they tried to flog me both bits, I only bought the linkage and swapped the motors over. I told the bloke that if I need a new motor I'd collect it later on.

I was told the same thing when I had to replace my wiper linkage a few years ago and also found out that it wasn't the case.

my bottom linkage popped off the ball joint a some greas on an 2 cable ties and all is good so far.

at least working until i get cash for a new linakge

If you want cheap fixing on the linkage try the metal clips , you can find them online , they are for any type of car that use this system whit plastic ball joints. You can watch this for your linkage if it helps. https://youtu.be/viAyWL4HZH4
