    Default spanner light and wont idle

    hi again guys looking to pick a few of your brains again, car drives lovely then spanner light pops up once engine has got to temp(90) and wont idle doesn't go into limp mode. have removed and cleaned egr,boost sensor and maf was thinking replace maf? any ideas

    no being a skint flint trying to sort before paying 30.00 hence all the cleaning of sensors and valves

    have you checked all the vac tubes & connectors for splits... i had a problem with my old dti years ago where it would be fine until you stopped in traffic & then die, turned out to be a vac connector had a split, cost pennies to put right.

    have checked them all can't find any leeks or loose conns have ordered 2 meters of new blue vac pipe to replace old ones as they look a sorry for themselves should be here 2mrow
    fingers crossed this will fix it

    tried the brake and accel pedal test don't want to know and i havn't got any code reader epuip can you suggest a good code reader that wont break the bank

    turned out to be vac pipes replaced them with new silicone pipes total cost £6 now the car runs like a dream.. got to put this down to wear & tear!! as the car has done 105,000 no different than any other car i've owned
