    Default Front Brake Help Please

Im getting a groaning noise from my front offside caliper when I brake and release it and it is not clearing the disc properly after being released which in turn is causing a slight but very annoying squeal when moving slow or turning tight corners.I had it off other wekk to clean her but it is back again now and is doing my head in.Does it need a bit of copper grease on the sliders or has anyone any other ideas.

Mine has been doing exactly the same thing for the last few hundred miles. It's fine at first but after a few miles with a bit of braking it starts to bind & make the noise, it's worse when turning right too. I've had the wheel off and given it a quick look over & all seems fine, the wheel turns freely (though I did it while it was cold) and there's plenty of meat on the pads & disc & no discolouration.

When I get the chance I'll strip down the calliper and grease up the pad rear/guides & see if the solves the problem, but from other people's threads on here with the same problem it may not fix the issue.

Others have changed the pads & discs and still get the noise, I'd hazard a guess it's indicative of a calliper that's on it's way out.
