    Default All downhill from here...

Well after 3 years and 364 trouble free days except the dials going to zero (sorted under warranty) my 'Its really reliable' phrase is no more.

First off it failed its MOT on 2 rear shocks, rear indicator bulbs not orange enough and emissions.

The emissions is basically because the wife uses the car now much more than me, mainly around town, so my fault. That was sorted with a can of magic potion and a new diesel filter.

But now, about a fortnight later the Emissions light has come on, although bizarrely the car is more economical and smoother than ever and to top it off, my gear knob came off in my hand mid roundabout yesterday.

    Ah well, it couldnt last....

Rear shocks not expensive tho to be fair and bulbs, I change mine every couple of years as they do lose their orange. Only painted after all.
Got my first MOT next month so I'll see if mine fails on more!!!

Yes I'm very pleased really. Much better than the previous bora.

What I have noticed, and it coincided with the emissions light coming on first time, I've now brimmed the tank twice and as the dial moves up it hangs at 3/4 then shows full after five minutes. Seems a little bizarre!

That's a pretty good run. I had similar with my Omega, then it cost me £000's for the MoT, didn't begrudge it as it had been such a good car. All was well till a month later, when I skidded on oil on a wet roundabout and wrote it off.
I'm sure you'll fare better, given a good clear out, new bulbs and some glue
