    Default help cdti fuel pipe popping out .......

    hi all

    my fuel pipe on the side of the filter housing has popped out twice today has anyone had same thing happen to them it seems to lock back in ok and u can pull on it and it wont come out only thing is the little white ring pops out but pipe doesnt ??

    any ideas guys

    dont know whether to try changing the pipe as its the short one to the pump or whether its a new housing

    help ....................

    yeah them pesky little things dont seem to stay in. My fittings are all same. Never had no bother with it though, think they just push up to stop dirt or anything getting into housing.

    I had this on my old filter housing,someone had broken the clip part where the pipe fits in,i drilled a small hole in the bit of housing that sticks out and put a cable tie through the hole and over the top of the pipe,i've since changed the housing now.

    After you have clipped it in there should be another circular bit that clips in after it so the clips cant unclip.

    there is little white clips but they dont seem to stay in
