Default LOTS of Cleaning..... More to do Tomorrow

Well, I had a delivery of some cleaning goodies to top up the kit on Friday, so today was all about cleaning. Heres what I had to start with:

Had this annoying scratch when I bought the car. Its my new pet project to get rid of it!

So, it got a rinse and the alloys treated to some Bilberry. It was then all washed with Zaino #7 using the 2BM and rinsed off. I then broke out the new Sonus Ultra Fine clay bar that arrived on Friday. The whole car got done with a 3rd of the bar. There actually wasnt all that much crud removed from the paint. It still doesnt feel totally smooth so I guess Ive not done it

See what you mean about the scratches and chips, hopefully a machine polish will get a lot of it our for you. Scrubs up well, I know what it feels like to do all that in a day - good job the results are worth it, you feel you've achieved something for all the hard work when it comes up like that roof!

Aye the roof doesnt look half bad. Its only when you spend a bit of time going round the car properly that you notice all the imperfections. Speaking of which, wheres the rest of my original post gone??!

It then all got another wash with the Zaino, again using the 2BM and was rinsed then dried off with a waffleweave towel.

I was gutted to notice now lots of chips, scratches and general mess.

These were the worst of them to be fair. My pesky scratch mentioned above was still there too. Oh well, lets crack on!

Gave it a good going over with the AG SRP but then broke out the Poorboys Blackhole, another new product to me. I have to say, Im pretty pleased with the results. Here you go, judge for yourself.

I still have plenty to do. Need to add a couple of coats of Nattys Paste Wax, AG Bumper Care the black plastic bits and clean the chrome parts. Oh and do the glass! They will get done done tomorrow though as my arms are killing me now. Ive had to do everything by hand as I have no machine polisher. I reckon the results would be in a different league if I did. Might have to be my next big purchase I think. At least the big swirly scratch on the lower front quarter polished out.

Looks like you had a busy day too. Your motor looks a whole lot better now.

Cheers fella. At least I got to perv over the beading this morning! Still not as good as with a couple of layers of wax though. Think if I did that, and blacked tghe trims etc., it would be about as good as I can get it without a DA or rotary.
