    Default A day spent detailing

OK 9am wife and daughter safely off out shopping and got the car back out the garage and ran over it with Meg's QD

    Onto the polishing regime

Already has had Chemical guys cherry wet wax (a beautiful smelling easy to work very very gentle abrasive polish)
All over with Chemical guys XXX hard glaze carnauba, again over with Autosmart Gold carnauba then Autoglym extra gloss over the top.

I had to hold short of claying for now, as I am going to see the local AS guy and get some Tardis to finally remove the rest of the tar from when they did my road in late Nov

This is the first session I have had with the car since buying it Mid-Oct last year and through the winter snow she was sadly neglected so today I am in heaven so to speak.

This is in the pics todays work, and forms an undercoat for the rest of the season when she will be in a half decent state.

I am still working on details like the badge colouring and considering a full rear de-badge at the mo

So if I do anything else rad, will grab some other pics.

There's no better way of spending the day than detailing a black car. The end result is so satisfying. Top job Derek.

Why thank you kind sir,and yes tis so true but compared to the perfection on your own car this poor thing has still got a long long way to go after a rather neglecting first owner

Looks lovely mate, reminds me of my last SRi, which is still going strong and being loved by its current owner.

Black is class when it is gleaming, its getting it to that stage though is a nightmare, tried to T-Cut and polish mine up on Saturday and i think i highlited EVERY stone chip on the bonnet. would it be better to do it with an electric buffer than by hand if it hasnt been done in a while???
