    Default poor fuel consumption?

does 100 miles at 70mph on the motorway to over quarter of a tank seem right for a 3.2 v6?

i know the car is due a service as it seems to miss when cruising, without actually missing if you know what I mean?

it's recently had a cambelt and water pump and it was doing it before then.

    cheers

50 miles per 7 litres is about 32mpg
That is very good for a petrol V6 doing 70mph
That is what I get on average, albeit V6 CDTI

hmmm, the gauge was always moving, and I am sure that I havehad better from it before. at 80 the mpg was down in low 20's.

I'm going to change the plus and do an oil and filter change and air filter change anyway.

out of interest, the cooler running temp wouldn't be causing any issues would it? as per my other post.

    cheers!

I wouldn't be surprised at 20mpg when ramping along at 80mph plus
I've had mine down to 9mpg

Erm...sorry to ask you again mate...but how do you get such poor fuel consumption from the V6CDTi? I got more on the Nürburgring...

As for the 3.2 I'd say you should get about 35mpg when sitting at 70mph. I'm basing this on my experience with the Insignia VXR which did 38mpg at 70mph, the old 3.2 could be and probably is different

My old 3.2 used go get about 32 mpg @ 75mph. I don't think that's too far off but some engines do get more than others.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
