    Default Headlight washer covers....

Has anyone else discovered one of these missing after a journey, Mrs has just come back from shops with the passenger side cover missing

I phoned Vauxhall and they wont cover it under warranty etc...

We had an insignia as a loan car a few weeks ago and noticed this was missing from that too...

    Is this a common thing?

I believe there is an improved part that replaces it. I have read that it's the retaining clip that's been improved on the new parts but can't remember if its part of a recall or not.

If you take a look over on insignia-enthusiast there have been some members that have had this issue and have it fixed under warranty. Here is the link:

Hope this helps and you get it sorted mate!

Mine are getting painted on Monday! 1st one I THOUGHT IT HAD BEEN NICKED SO BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE £25.00 + THE DREADED VAT THEN PAINTING ALL IN ALL £40
THEN 2 WEEKS LATER WENT TO DONCASTER AND WHEN I ARRIVED THE OFFSIDE ONE WAS MISSING (THIS TIME IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICKED BUT CHANGED IT ANYWAY)
THIRD TIME I NOTIFIED VAUXHALL CUSTOMER CARE AND REALLY REALLY COMPLAINED THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALERS, THEY CHECKED THE ALIGNMENT ETC AND DECIDED TO ORDER ME A REPLACEMENT UDER WARRANTY! ANYWAY WENT TO THE STEALERS TO GIVE THEM MY PAINT NUMBER AND GUESS WHAT THE NEARSIDE ONE HAS GONE SO THIS IS MY FOURTH IN LESS THAN SIX MONTHS i AM SURE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH ICE SINCE EVERYTIME IT HAS BEEN ZERO OR BELOW WHEN ITS HAPPENED! (FANTASTIC FOR A WINTER PACK EH!)

SORRY ABOUT THE SHOUTING MY CAPS LOCK SEEMS TO BE STUCK

    Thanks for the info guys...

I called dealer and they said i would have to pay for it and asked me to go in so they could quote and get paint code etc....

but, when i took it in spoke to different guy on service and he is treating it as a warranty claim told me he would call when authorised and ready to fit.... i never even mentioned it as i thought they were just going to give me a quote...

now waiting on a phone call

ps. in meantime i looked at the remaing cover and that does not look like original paint on that one.... we had the car when it was 4 months old so it looks like it may have lost one before we had it!

I Got mine back all painted and hunky dory but could only have one fitted as the washer itself has had a lug snapped off it it only has 2 instead of 3 so the cover just flops around so waiting for that part as well now! The cars fantastic and lovely to drive but why does the build qua;ity or should I say the design of parts such as these fail so easily? Like I said before its a so called winter pack so has it actually been tested in the winter? I wonder hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Me too. Nearside missing & there's a bit of snapped plastic sitting in the exposed hole. Yet another thing to add to the warranty list when it goes in.
