18 alloys.. tyres??

goin to buy set of new tyres for alloys
thinkin between 225/40/18 and 225/45/18

any sugestions which one go for n why?! lets leave difference with speedo for other thread so maybe any well known facts how does that work with comfort performence and traction or so..

Vauxhall states 225/45 in the brochures, and 225/45 will give more comfort than 40's with the slightly larger sidewall.

Yep 225/45/18 bud. That's what I've just put on and what vauxhall recommend.

Not forgetting the 235/40/18's which are an excellent compromise between the two

I had 225/40/18's on mine, no problems what so ever. Much cheaper too - which is why i had them. Also had the 235/40's and they were better still.

225 40 18 on mine and its noisy as hell.... but on saying that, iv just come out of a big volvo that was very quiet.
