Default Wheel Alignent or New Tyres? Noise Noise Noise

    Hello,

I have read lots of posts about the rear wheel noise.

    I have a loud droan 30mph +

I am due to visit a garage on sat. Shall I get Wheel Alignent or New Tyres?

    I can't afford both......

I am also having my passenger front drop link replaced due to the knocking sound.

This car is nothing but problems. I have owner 4 Alfa and not had as much trouble.

I am thinking about selling it.....

If you are not getting strange tyre wear, then I would be of the view that alignment is not that 'out' so is not causing drone, so tyres!

    NCT are about £130 each!
I'm opting for Uniroyal Rainsport 2 in a coupla months after the comments on here.

My partner changed her 2 month old front tyres for two new Khumo and they stopped the drone - I'd say tyres

Depends how new your rear tyres are. If they are nearly to min depth change them as they'll need doing anyway. If not, choose alignment as to be honest it's probably out anyway and can't hurt to get it done.

I have found the Vectra chassis incredibly prone to transmit tyre drone. I have Nexen on this car and they are perfectly quiet, the last Vectra had Westlake SA-05 which were as noisy as a football rattle in the boot!

I find the Goodyears not too bad but hey!

in your case I think we are all agreed in saying it sounds like tyres but has tis just started? is it a long term rumble which would also point to tyres?
