Got a Problemo.

Hey folks ...

Can anyone give me some advice on what I should be looking for.

When im motorway driving, say sitting at 65-70mph, and i accellerate to over take, i can get to around 80mph+ and the car starts to loose power. It judders as if im going too slow to be in the gear selected is the only way i can describe it.

It drives perfect 1,2,3,4,5 going slow and round the doors, its only when its given a bit of a boot it goes all sluggish. I did mention it once before and was going to keep an eye on it, however, its happening more frequent now.

Any one got some advice please, much appreciated.

what car year engine miles?

Oh sorry yea, I knew I missed something off.

Car is a 07' plate 150 vec, Mileage on the car around 68k just had a service about 5month ago iirc.

I had this problem on my 09 150 cdti. They replaced the egr and the cyclinder head (i think cant remember)on warranty.

looking at your profile you have the CDTI 150.

It sounds like you are losing boost. Maybe a split in the inter cooler hose or vacuum pipes may have a crack in it.

Check vacuum pipes first as they are easy to get to. Here is a thread about it.
