    Default Under guard

Have posted before my under guard is loose at one side, i think when uncle arnold had it last for dmf change they must have lost the screw/bolt to attach it back on, now this is the question, its loose at back towards the rear on the left hand side, on epc there is a front screw either side but on the rear it has like a plastic rivet bit and a screw, neither of them is present on my car and is the pic on epc as in the under guard facing the correct way, so i can get the part ordered that i need.

Just use a bolt with a nut and a washer. I did this on mine.

Can you take a look and see if there is the stub of the thread left that is/was welded to the bottom of the car? These can shear off when trying to remove the nut to get the heatshield off because they get rusted up.

If this is the case, then - as above - a self-tapping screw and repair washer may be the best bet. On my DTI and GSI the centre heatshields are both held on by 8 nuts (part number 13232779) with built-in washers, but I guess it may be different on later cars, especially CDTi's with the DPF.

What is the part number you got from EPF?

My access panel on my undertray came down on one side and dragged on the road last night,so when i got to work i decided to put 2 wheels on a raised kerb to unscrew it before i lost it or it broke off,and i don't know how,but it caught somewhere and now it's in the bin
It will help cooling now though
