    Default Help.car will not start.a mind of it's own.

    Went to start car tonight.Engine failed to turn,radio display switching itself on & off continuous,rear indicators flashing on there own.On central display a warning about check lights etc,mileage range displays a letter 'F' unable to lock doors,a car with a complete mind of it's own.Anybody with any idea's?Please help.Will keep you updated.

    Battery's probably dead, usually caused by faulty alternator. Try another battery on the car if you've got access to one (or charge yours), if it works, then the chances are your alternator's on the way out.

    Do i need to know anythink before removing battery from car.Is it safe just to undo battery terminals remove battery & recharge.When i put battery in do i just reconnect and try to start car.

    Yup, only thing you need to know is your radio code if its a preface and you have the original radio fitted still.

    Is it safe to use jump leads to see if the car will start.How many numbers make up the radio code?

    Four, it will be on your car pass (Credit card sized bit of card with all the car security numbers on it).

    I have the car pass.I have 4 numbers / 4 numbers.Are the first 4 the radio type and the second 4 the radio code.Any idea how to enter the code.Having how changed the battery which seems to have been the problem the radio display now shows SAFE.

    Turn radio off, turn ignition off, press and hold the AS button and turn ignition on, turn radio on still holding AS button on, wait for beep and display to change then use the number buttons 1 to 4 to enter the code and press and hold AS button again till it beeps and display changes.
