    Default Parking Sensors

    Hi All,

Was just wondering if anyone knows whether the warning sounds from the front and/or rear parking sensors on a 2006 Siggy Elite (factory fitted) can be adjusted, as it is sometimes difficult to hear the audible sounds from the rear ones - especially with some music on at the same time.

I have looked through the destruction booklet, but can find no way of doing it.

    Thanks if anyone knows.

With the trafficmaster on the wifes car, you can turn the volume up as it is giving instructions, by turning the radio volume up, maybe it might work in the same manner, otherwise turn the radio down when parking.....

I don't believe so - not by you anyway. On that year I'm sure the beeps come from the CIM (Column Integration Module) which is amongst the steering column area so I'd have expected the beeps to be pretty noticable! Are you saying that you get beeps from different areas depending on whether it's the front or rear sensors that are selected?

On mine the front bleeps at the front & the rear bleeps in the rear somewhere but have never hunted down where from!

Ah right - in that case the fronts will beep from the CIM, the rears from a speaker in the headlining in the middle of the car. I'm pretty sure the headlining speaker can't be adjusted for loudness.

The fronts beeps on my Signum 06 somewhere under the steering wheel (same place as warning sound for lights on or buckle up); and in the back, somewhere in the roof near the backdoor (=tailgate?).
Actually I think the beeps are to loud and often ennoying.
They start beeping to soon (1,2 m?) and constantly from 30 cm on. I would rather adjust that if possible.

Just to let you know, have just picked my Siggy back up from the dealers (been in for some other work), and the rear sensor beep has been turned up a notch so, for anyone who does feel the need to get this done, it can be.
