    Default Smooth engine! Good God!

Since I've had the car it's been run on normal Shell Fuelsave stuff. Decided to have a change today and filled up with BP Ultimate instead. My God! Can't feel any extra power but she no longer sounds like she's going to fall to pieces in the morning. Much, much smoother and quieter both on a cold and hot engine. If your car lives on the normal Shell stuff and feels rough, stick a tank of BP in it, see how it goes.

Only other thing mine gets is 350ml of 2 stroke in every full tank.

I find Shell marginally 'smoother' than BP, but both work very well. I find Tesco/ASDA the worst with regard to 'knock' and fuel economy.

DTi's with the fuel pump issues and lack of lubrication. Bit of 2 stroke just helps a bit. Want it to last as long as possible.

2 stroke oil,, that might be why it sounds like she is going to fall to pieces,, there are enough additives in shell,, my petrol vec is very smooth on fuelsave, and has just done aver 40 mpg, 50-50 knocking about/rural but always use redex if using supermarket fuel

Theres enough additives in the fuel already no need to add 2 stroke oil.

Mine's a diesel not a petrol, one of the older DTi's. Adding some 2 stroke smoothed it out a fair bit compared to running without. Seems to do the diesels some good.

there's a thread already about 2 stroke & many other diesel forums talk about it... quite a few using it say it has good results... i guess it's no different to using millers which i use
