Just a few questions

Hi all.

As i have said, im new to the site..and very new to my Vectra so please be gentle.

Ok my car is a Vectra 1.9 CDTi SRI Diesel 6 speed manual 4700 miles.

(1) When should i be looking to getting the Cam Belt changed and other associated parts that go with it ?

(2) EGR ..What is it...what does it do...and can i....with ease clean it. If so how do i go about it. I think a came across one on my old Partner van whilst changing glow plugs. A 3 way valve with a flap in it....i cleaned the gunk out of it and made sure the flap moved easily.

(3) If i'm reading my trip computer correct...its saying i'm averaging 37.7 mpg at an average of 17 mph. To be fair since having it, we have done mostly all stop..start slow moving traffic journeys. Is this good..bad or about right in your opinions ?

3) Sounds right for town driving mate - a good blast up the motorway is good for it, and when cruising at 70 on a level road you should get at least 50, possibly up to 60mpg...
