    Default parrot ck3100 black question

    Hi,
Ive just tried to connect my parrot bluetooth handsfree kit but connecting the adaptor cable the stereo does not work??
I had it fitted to my astra H last and it worked fine with the adaptor but no such luck with the vectra C.
Any ideas wahat it could be?

    Cheers

What adaptor cable and what model of stereo have you got?

I'm sure someone can advise on what you need to do and/or the correct cable for your stereo once they know this.

I fitted a CK3100 recently but it was to a pre-facelift Vectra with a VDA connector so totally different.

    cheers for the reply.
Im not sure< i got it for my birthday last year. The cable came form Parrot and it was for vauxhall. It all connects fine but nothing happens when i try and turn the stereo on.

The cable worked fine with the astra H as i say but nothing with the vectra.

    Cheers

It looks like there are 3 possible cables for your car (assuming it doesn't have a VDA connector in which case you need an SOT-109 cable if you want to use it) so it's one of these depending on which model of stereo you have (the number of numeric digits in the stereo model number):

    TWO DIGIT = SOT-122
    THREE DIGIT = SOT-053
    FOUR DIGIT = SOT-078

    Hi,

I'm assuming this is the same problem I've got.

Its a JVC head unit and the Parrot 3100, both taken from my Astra MK4 where they wasn't having any problem.

The Parrot is powered by unplugging the iso block at the back of the head unit then the parrot cables go in between.

What's happening is when the Parrot is powered up the voltage on the ignition wire at the head unit drops significantly, the head unit lights up at first but then power goes after a few seconds (probably as the head unit tries to draw more power).

We even tried to get the power for the parrot from an alternative source but it still dropped the power at the head unit.

To bodge it we have connected both the positives for the head unit as permanent and everything works (just have to remember to switch the radio off manually)

    Any ideas?

    TIA
