Thread: Bars leaks or holts new radwield???

    Default Bars leaks or holts new radwield???

    My radiator has a leak and i cannot really afford a new one, whic one of the two above brands rad seal would you use?? To avoid any implications with other parts of the car. Thanks

    I have used Bars Stop Leak once on an old ford with a pinto engine in, it had a leaking core plug and did the job well, I would not dare to use this stuff now on more modern cars as I would not like to think what it might do to things like the heater matrix for example.

    Or K SEAL, or radwield +, These are designed for modern new cars, they are liquid based only and only seal when at runnin temp and hit cold air

    Think im gunna go with k seal, havent seen one bad review on internet! Even on vx220 cars and new range rovers! Its the old type rad weild to stay away from this stuff is designed for modern motors.

    My preference was Barrs Leaks, but that was with pre 1986 cars. If that's your only option, I'd read all the instructions very carefully, then decide.

    If you're looking for radwield on google, try searching radweld instead.

    Have previously used radweld on cars with no problems.
