Image uploader has been disabled/removed

Just to pre-empt any "What's happened to the Image Uploader" threads.

It's been removed, or will be imminently, as it's basically been the entry point/weak point for recent issues i.e. the major hack last year and some smaller ones since, so it's being removed. It's a reluctant decision as it's a nice feature and allows images to be placed exactly where people want them in a thread but as it's a third-party add-on that clearly has serious vulnerabilities it's not worth the hassle of dealing with the aftermath of it's vulnerabilities.

Soo, an alternative is going to be looked for that, hopefully, has the same sort of flexibility, and maybe even some better features.

Obviously this is going to impact on threads such as How 2s where the requirement is that the images are uploaded to the forum, so the alternative for How 2 threads is to add them through the attachment option. Any How 2s where the images are hosted on Photobucket etc. won't be approved as per the requirements listed for posting a How 2.

Images in For Sale threads should also be added to the thread in the same way i.e. as attachments and not hosted off site - basically so that someone can't change, or remove, the images subsequently. Any For Sale threads where the images are hosted off site will be removed and the poster asked to repost with them hosted on the site.

Now sorted. Images should be visible again, they are to me anyway.

Ok, possibly a dumb question but I can't upload a profile pic...presumably this has something to do with no pic uploading? Is this right, and does that mean I just dont have a profile pic til further notice??
