Default Drivers side indicator light stops on?!

    Hi guys,

Just noticed tonight that my side light on the drivers side of the car isnt working but instead the indicator light stops on when its on side lights and full. Now ive heard this could be a earth problem but someone said normally if its the earth then both lights normally do it not just one side is this true?

Wheres the best place to start looking tomorrow when its light

Replace the sidelight bulb - this will cure the 'problem'

The CanBus system recognises a bulb is out so compensates by using a different bulb, same thing on the back.

I may be wrong here, but I'm sure that when a side light fails, the indicator is utilitised instead? The same way in which, when a brake light fails, the tail light takes over.

I will stand corrected if I'm wrong though!
