    Default semi stuck clutch pedal!??

    hi guys

    i have a problem with my 02/03 vectra c 1.8 sri

1st of the control exhaust emission light has just come on, its not flashing it just stays on, ive tried disconnecting battery for 20 minutes but hasnt cured problem so im thinking of booking it in vauxhalls tomorrow just dont wanna get conned!

    2nd

I was going to ask vauxhall to have a look at this aswell but thought i might ask you guys

    1. when driving the car and changing gear the clutch pedal doesnt seem to come up all the way and then when you press the accelerator you can feel the clutch pedal kind of pinging up against your foot
its wierd and hard to explain it just seems when you accelerate you can then feel the clutch pedal lifting againt your foot????
    any ideas???

    thirdly lol!!./.

Only happens once maybe twice a day, when you start the car for example.

you pull in tesco to buy something then get n the car, you start it and the car will just run rubbish and cut out, you cant push the throttle as this doesnt do anything.
then you restart it and it starts up fine!!!

Emission light could caused by either the air flow meter or the reading coming from the second Lambda sensor. You have an early model so its possible that the EGR may be faulty too. Ask them specifically for the fault codes, or go out and do a pedal test on it and we will tell you what the fault causing the EML to be on. There is a How2 for the pedal test.
Clutch pedal could just be a fault return spring, these are cheap and easy to replace or ir could be the clutch slave cylinder thats on its way out.

    Pedal test how2

    im still none the wiser!

thing is the car drives completly fine, i have no issues with driving it.
I did a long journey the night before in the car and woke up the next day started the car and it was fine and i noticed the light was on, but i drove a long journey home and it was fine - the light doesnt flash.
Again in my first post the only issue engine wise is that rarley sometimes when you stop start, when you go to start it it starts but is groggy and slowly stalls, then you restart and its fine!

I dont know if this is related????

maybe if i go to vauxhalls wednesday, thats when its booked in i can say ive had it tested and its code P0170?

anyone else know what this could be?

    ?
Let them test it. Ask them to confirm the code that you have read. Tell them to carry out no other work than the test and to quote you prices for repair. As for the clutch, worth trying the spring first yourself its only a couple of quid to replace.
