Default Play in steering rack? Vec C

Almost every Vectra i have in seems to suffer from play in the steering rack.
Always a advisory on the MOT.

Wondered if anybody has come across this?

I can feel some play when at a standstill and moving the wheel left to right... but it doesn't affect the steering when on the move so if its not giving you any problems I wouldnt worry about it.

Don't use cheap ebay joints, I did and 5 thousand miles later I was doing them again.

I always use genuine parts on my car,

The inner rack joints come with new locking nuts, new plastic bands, new boot and the joint itself.
