Default 06 Vectra est 1.9cdti Sri 150 brakes advice pls

Hi as title says I need some advice on some brakes on my 1.9cdti Sri 150.

Now I wanted to replace all discs and pads but my local garage just quoted me £315 and that's with 10% discount.

I think that's alot as it was half that to do my bmw brakes. Am I being cheap or is thAt normal?

    thats a rediculously high price

to purchase pad and discs sets for the front and back would cost about £120 from the dealers
that leaves them charging you £200 for labour on a job that takes about an hour with a workshop tools

Have a look at the above link. Im not saying you should buy the stuff but it lets you see the price of the parts. The seller has great feedback as well.

These numbers are main dealer numbers for the kits, they are a cross reference for you once they are given to you to ensure they are correct.

As for ECP simply enter your reg number and the correct kits option sets are presented from the various manufacturers depending on budget you choose the one best suited.

What you generally find is that the mainline brand mfr, also makes a budget brand which is equally as good for normal use. I tended to go with Eicher and Pagid brands as the "budget price" ones instead of the ATE, Brembo and suchlike at almost double the cost.

some may not last as long as the original vx ones, some will give more brake dust then others and some will suffer brake fade under hard constant braking but its all down to personal budget
