Help or advice needed...

Hi wonder if any 1 can help, my father in law has 1.8 54 plate vectra.... it has just started blowing hot air when the temperature has been selected to cold.... even with the air con on..... we cant get it to blow cold at all... Has any 1 had the same problem any help will be great....

Have you turned the knob from the red side to the blue side?

Thanks for the sarky comment.... but i have said when selected on the COLD side which is normally blue... If you cant help then dont reply.... Thanks..

Nothing sarcastic about my comment. This happened to me last week and only thing I forgot to do was turn the knob. Probably I should have digested every word of your post before replying. Will learn to keep my mouth shut next time I see ur post.

Took the glovebox out and 'tinkered' with the air mix motor and all seemed OK, just not actually moving when i turned the heater control.

Had a cup of tea whilst thinking, squirted some WD40 on the motor joints for good measure and it started working again!

Same problem on mine. Simple fix .... Air con re-gassed at Kwik Fit. £29

Although mine was HOT when turned to red, and WARM when turned to blue, it's now ICE COLD on blue. HTH
