    Default Vinyl wrapping chrome V

    Has anyone done this?

re-painted mine last week and all looked spot on! but overnight the paint cracked and went all funny. It looks of from a distance but close up it looked like stevie wonder has painted it

i have ordered some black vinyl to have a go at wrapping it instead as the paint does chip eventually with the milage i do!!(up and down the m56)

has anyone done this before? how easy did you find it? and of course PICS!

My uncle own his own sign work shop and has dobe car wraps tinted windows etc. And the way he does it is cleans the whole car negative polish then uses a liquid called panle wipe al over the car next step once hes got the wrap ready is sprays the sticky side with soapy water places it on the car and rhen using a card "credit card" if u cant get hold of a proper one use that too push all the soapy water out and any air bubbles you wont get 100% air bubbles out but the rest will go over time. Finally you can use a hair dryer to strech out the wrap if needed. Hope thos helps.

Im a sign maker/fitter aswell but dont do wraps, just flat vehicle lettering and shop signs etc.

I was looking at what i could wrap and thought the grille would be a bit awkward but do-able

If you are ordering vinyl to do it you want a cast vinyl as its easier to shape with heat

I have a load of material at hand so will probably try it soon and if i do ill put some pics up/ keep you informed?
